CLATTERING JACKDAWS PROJECT a new guerrilla performance and multimedia collective With a focus on creating exciting new theatre, live art instillation and events across Derby city. Uncontained Arts have an exciting opportunity open to all students and derby based creative’s. This summer Uncontained Arts will be producing a piece of interactive pervasive theatre in association with Derby theatre and they need your help to create it! The doors are open to all art forms as this will be a piece of theatre like no other taking the audience a literal journey around the city. Uncontained Arts return with another exhilarating interpretation of more much-loved children’s stories. All your favourite Grimm characters… Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, Tom Thumb, a handful of princesses, a whirlwind of witches and one weally, weally wicked wolf…are all brought to life in this energetic, colourful, laugh-a-minute show, with music, surprises, a touch of magic and lots of fun for all the family!

The company was formed on 2008 by now co-artistic directors Adam Howell, and Cara Nolan. Currently based at the new Derby Theatre, the company work as performers, workshop leaders and facilitators, and are constantly developing new skills. They are committed to creating and supporting new theatre and providing ever increasing opportunities to theatre students and graduates alike.

Alice's adventures begin as she abandons her grassy bank one blissful summer's afternoon to follow a white rabbit underground, where she meets all kinds of strange and wonderful characters, taking tea with The Mad Hatter and eating jam tarts with The Queen of Hearts. Expect the unexpected in this delightful and imaginative version of Alice, using a burst of energy and an explosion of colour to bring to life the original story of Alice's extraordinary adventures.
